Hi. :crying: I was banded on April 10th with the Realizeband. So excited to have found this message board a few weeks ago. I've only told 4 people that I had this surgery - all were family and my husband. I haven't told any friends yet.

Well remember, it can always be your secret if you want it to. Personally I told everyone and there mother but I also have never been one to really care what anyone else thought..

But I will say that I have not had one negative opinion, the way I see it anyone that does not want to see me happy and healthier, more active and have a better outlook on life is not a true friend..

Good luck..:crying:

I started having people at work ask me every week "how much did you lose this week" and I told them that I would only give updates once a month. All in all it's not about where I am now it's about where I will be 2 years, 5 years from now. Heck we have all lost weight.... But only to regain it plus more.

Yea Juju and I am only the opposite, I don't get any remarks and I want them! I mean I know I have lost but the occasion hey you are looking good or I can really tell, so when I don't hear that it makes me feel like I am not going anywhere but the scale is still moving and I KNOW it so I try to satisfy myself with that. Even the 1lb loss I get so giddy and proud of myself. Maybe it's just me and me alone on my own who knows..

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
