something is seriously wrong with me. i am really starting to believe that. wth? am i doing to myself? today i decided that mcdonalds sounded good. and i ate it. now i am just sick with myself and just found myself thinking about going to make myself puke. wth? i didnt do it, and dont think i will. just that i even started thinkin like that is scary to me. i have been having a yo-yoing time lately. good then bad, high then low...it sucks. all since my last fill and i can now eat anything whereas before i at least had some restriction. i go next tuesday for anther fill, thank god! i have to keep it together until then. ARGGHHHHH, i am so frustrated with myself.

I have been having a hard time this week also, ate 2 mini kit kat bars and pizza....ugggg. I get my second fill April 30th and I hope I have restriction because now I have none. I still try to eat only 4 oz but it is very hard because I know I can eat more.

People!! be easier on yourselves!! This is life; having McDonald's or pizza every once in a while won't doom you! Don't let that "guilt/diet/failure" thing get started. Just "enjoy" the splurge and get back to normal.

And Want...good for you not vomiting it back up. That would've been like pouring gas on a fire. (and not good for the band either). It was just food, not poison. Maybe not the best food out there, but still food. It isn't worth your worry.

I wouldn't feel too bad about it. U don't do that all day everyday do u?? Just accept the act, and move on. this is a lifetime committment....u have to allow yourself some wiggle room and some splurges every once in a while! Just jump right back on track! Good luck!

RM, you are so right. We have to take it one day at a time and not get to down when we do make a not so good choice.

I think we all have days like this. We just have to pick ourselves back up and do better tommorrow. Hopefully we have more good days than bad and it will pay off in the end:thumbup:

I'm with some of the other posters.....adding...

the lapband is to reduce the amount of food you intake.

During this time you modify your lifestyle.

But to have a goal where you will NOT EVER eat at the world's largest restaurant chain...that's unrealistic. Unless you never eat there anyways.

I eat fast foods. Yesterday I had a banana split from Sonic....it was a junior size but still, it was good!

thanks so much everyone! i really needed that. i have just been having a rough go of things lately and it seems i let every little thing like that get into my head and i think i am just blowing it. but everyone was/is right. and today i am better and doing good.

i do have to be better about not freakin out so much when/if i eat something i shouldn't (all the time).

thanks again!

Exactly right! Yesterday,I split an order of Chinese scallops with garlic sauce with a co-worker - first Chinese meal since surgery. But I went to the gym last night and got right back on track. You see, that's how thin people eat. They have sensible, balanced meals 95 percent of the time and allow themselves the occasional indulgence and then get back on the wagon. That's just the opposite of my pre-band eating habits - 95 percent indulgence with a little healthy food/exercise thrown in here and there. I really hope this is one lesson I've finally learned!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
