Had consult. visit at Dr Goodmans Office.

Recommended Posts

Well I had my first visit with Dr Woodmans Office yesturday I had to watch this boring  video and go over what else I need before we send in to the ins comp. for approval. I thought I would have at least got to meet the Dr. But I only saw him on the video. My hisband and friend have both worked with him at Methodist Germantown but I think it would make a better impact if he meet his patient on the first visit I myself would rather ask him about any concern then his staff before I putting all this time into it if I had doughts. Anyways It went good alls my ins request is medical record ( which i took with me), a letter from my dr (which was faxed to them while I was there) the pshch and nutr. eval.:scared2: I have psych set up for wed. 4/8 but I am having a hard time finding the nutr. assessment. Anyone know of one in memphis or around the area that I can get into fast. I set up a appt with Dr Rice's office to find out once I got there that she did not do the assessment for psych because she was only a social worker and the Dr in the office that did it did not take my ins. I was so mad I asked every question and told them what I need when I mad the appt. So I went home and just started calling everyone on my ins list till I found Dr Amos. :cool2: He said he does this assessment for about all Dr woodmans pts. And I got a appt. for right away not weeks down the road. He spoke to me and set the appt up himself and email me all the 26 pages of paper work you fill out to do before the appt. which I thought was great. I hate sitting in a office filling out paperwork. He also told me he would have it to Dr woodman on that monday following my appt. I hope to find a nutr. soon my goal is to have everything I need to get sent off by 4/13. MY b-days in May and that would be the best b-day present ever to be able to have a date.. better yet have it done.... :tt2:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
