No weigt loss in over 3 months

Recommended Posts

I was banded on 05/06/08 and lost 70 lbs in the first seven months but none since. I have 3 cc's in a 10cc band and have an appt in a couple of weeks...I usually cannot eat anything until after 10 am having my coffee first or else things will get stuck. I am following the rules but getting discouraged, do I need a fill or has other people hit this plateau? Thanks!

i was that way too. liquid only each morning. mine used to last until noon or so. oh how i miss that! lol. are you following the rules but eating more? has your exercise changed? have you tried changing up what you do or the amount of calories for a few days? i know i have read lots and lots of threads where people suggest this. good luck!

A lot of us find our bands are tighter in the morning. Usually if you drink a cup of coffee or tea first thing and eat a hot meal, that will relax it a bit for you. 3 ccs in a 10 cc band means you have a lot of potential for further restriction. How long since your last fill? It sounds like you need a fill to me.

Dont get too discuraged. I went throught a peroid of over 4 months where I lost less that 10 pounds. I was doing everything right. I was getting VERY upset that the waigt wasn't comming off. Then all of a sudden I lost 8 lbs in 1 month. I think it just depends on your body. Most people hit a platuo and get stuck for a while. But it wont last forever. Just keep doing what your suppoes to and the weigt WILL come off.

Have you tried the 5 day pouch test? I can't recommend it enough, it was the only thing that got the scale moving again for me. I'm sure you're probably in need of another fill, but this is a great tool I'm going to keep in my back pocket when I hit the dreaded plateau.

All of the info you need for the 5 day pouch test is here. Some people think you need to order the book, but you don't, all of the details are on the website.

Good luck & congrats on your amazing progress!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
