Not lost weight in a year.

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am new to this site. I have had the band coming up on 3 years. I am happy with the weight I have lost. But I am unhappy that I have not lost weight in over a year. I have even gained. My starting weight was 250. Got down to 195 and now I am back to 219. I am not gonna let myself get back to my high weight. It is a struggle for me though.

I need a kick in the but. What can I do to get back on the band wagon.

Thanks, I am at my sweet spot. Have been for awhile. I do need more exercise though. The winter months are hard on me. I have Fibromyalgia and I feel bad alot of the time. I know if I could exercise more I could lose.

I was also just reading a thread that said you must keep your carbs at 30 or below. Because some people will not lose the weight even though they only eat a few bites. So I have not been doing that but I am going to now.

Thanks for your concern.

You say you are at your sweet spot but have you gone back every six months (at least) for a re-check? Saline can evaporate from the band (that's why they pull out all Fluid when they do a fill). You could be close to your sweet spot and not realize there has been a change. I'd go to the doc and see about a fill.

I would have your doctor check your band to make sure it's still good and I would make sure you are eating healthy foods and start taking walks.

Good luck to you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
