Single,31,no kids, lookin for bandster friends

Recommended Posts

Hey travelingsnorkel, I am single 33 and living in MD too. I just got banded yesterday and just got home from the hospital a few hours ago. What issues are you having with your band that you are not having a good experience? I know I am still in a bit of pain but I think most of it is gas pain. I have been trying to walk to get it breaking up and I keep belching quite a bit too.. :) LOL

Hey there everyone. I was banded on October 17, 2008. I do not regret one bit of it. I have lost my weight more gradual than most. But I thought it would be valuable for me to put in my two cents in case some of you are like me. I have only lost 40lbs. up to now but it is steady. I really need to go in for a fill because I do not have much restriction anymore. I still have much more to lose. I am starting to work out now because I feel much better and have more energy. I also noticed that there were times when I lost inches instead of pounds. I have gone from a size 24 to 18 so far. My goal is a size 10.

Hi, I am 32, no kids, live in Maryland. I lost 16 lbs on the two weeks pre-op liquid diet. I was banded on 03/09 and got my first fill on 04/09/09. Even though I had a fill (4.4 cc), I only felt some restriction in the begging 3 days. I lost 5 lbs in that 3 days. Then I haven't been able to feel any restriction at all. I could keep everything down and I do eat a lot each meal (probably 6 OZ meat, 2 Oz of tofu and 1 Oz of vege). I gained 1 lb back last week. I am also frustrated that I am not losing weight as I wish I could lose a steady 2-3 lbs each week.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
