71 & anxious for banding 3/26

Recommended Posts

I can't wait 4 my surg and to see all the progress I expect from this banding. Have heard from many people in their 'golden years' who just want to get healthy and are a "queen of diets" like me!

Wow, Diana, Congrats! I think it's amazing that you are doing this at 71. You'll probably feel 10 years younger when you get some of the weight off!

When is your surgery date?

Hello, Ibaladydianatoo! Honestly, when I lived in North Pole,Alaska, a friend always called me "lady Di"!:w00t:

I am glad that you have decided to have the surgery. A friend of mine who is 76 had it in Oct 2009. He is doing great and the doc took him off of his diabetes and cholesterol meds and reduced his bp meds. He feels a lot better already.

Keep us posted as you approach being banded!:)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
