I know that I need to stcik to Protein and veggies but it is really hard. I started at 231 and I am 200 today.. i want it to go quicker so why wont i eat what i should!! LOL

wow twins i bet you have your hands full. i know i do and i just have the one (plus a husband). yes you need to stick to your veggies and protine, although it is hard. if you are having a hard time with getting all your protine in (im sure you have heard this before) but go get some protine powder that is unflavored and mix it in any drink or maybe some ice cream and that will help you get your protine in. we all have trouble getting all of what we need in but as long as you stick to it things will be ok. if you ever need to talk you can always email me. good luck

Hi Trista,

I'm Jennifer, I live in VA also, I'm fairly new to the area so I'm not sure where you're located (ie if we live near each other).

My son just turned 2.

I'll probably be banded in May (I hope).

Sounds like you're making awesome progress, congrats!

Hit me up whenever (I'm trying to get in here more), add me as a friend? I still can't figure out how... :0)

I had to post after I read JenEc's post. First, congratulations on your weight loss so far and knocking at the door of "onederland!" I was banded 1/14/09 and have lost about 20 pounds so far. I am having the same issue as you with food selections. I eat far less than I have ever eaten in my life, but I know my weight loss would be further along if I didn't eat some of the things that I do. I go for my second fill on Monday. I hope to get some restriction this time, as I had none from my first fill. My advice to all of us is no matter how we struggle with losing this weight, each pound we lose is a pound we will never see again, so keep looking forward and it will happen! Everyone be blessed!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
