Bunny Bandsters - April '09, MASTER THREAD #1

Recommended Posts

Just heard from my doc. I go into the hospital at 6am. So, by this time tomorrow all is said and done. My doc does 2 day liquid, then 2 mushy , then on to regular food.

Hey--Kmg365 I have a feeling we liked the same show from the seventies.

Lindasqd51 (squad 51)

Best wishes tomorrow! I love your post op diet...mine's 2 WEEKS liquids, 4-5 WEEKS mushies, but I'm not complaining (not pre-op diet here). Let us know how you're doing!

Hi, This is my 1st post on Bunny Bandsters and 2nd post in all. My band date is April 27th. Yay!

I have a question: Does anyone know how soon we can exercise after surgery? I have a party scheduled 4 days after. It's a Sock Hop with dancing, etc...

I'm glad to be here!:(

Congrats on your band date! I would consider VERY slow walking after a week, and maybe cardio after two weeks, I would definitely NOT jump around four days post op! You will be very sore!!!! :(

Hey 21 is a really low BMI, but you're really young, so it would look better on you than me. I was a 20.5 when I got married and I was too thin, but I'd look bad at my age with even a 21 BMI...weight shifts. I'd set something in the middle of your 'normal' BMI range...and what I always say is, you'll know it when you get there!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
