Support Group in Redmond/Bellevue

Recommended Posts

Are there any support groups in Bellevue/ Redmond area... even downtown is good with me. I am 6 months post op and have hit a snag in my banded life and really could use a support group... it tough to do it alone. I am in Redmond/Bellevue area, but would go downtown if need be.

I appreciate any info and thanks!

Eric

Hi. It is hard to do this alone. I am in the same boat. The only group I know of are the Group Health ones I attended. Hopefully some other folks will know of others. I have noticed our fellow WA banders are kinda quiet in this thread of chatting.

When did you get your band? What snag's are you hitting. Maybe I can help answer some questions ? If you want a email lap band buddy let me know.

Evergreen Hospital has a support group that's open to anyone. I've gone twice and enjoyed it:

Lap Band Support Group

4th Monday of the month, 6-8 p.m.

Evergreen Education Center, Room Tan 101

Dr. Lauter in Bellevue near Overlake also has a support group that meets twice a month and classes:

Bellevue Medical Park at 1600 116th Ave. NE, Suite 304, Bellevue, WA 98004. Our phone number is
(425) 453-7888

If you attend post back and let me know what you think...

Britt

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
