Which Weight Is The One You Count?

Recommended Posts

Do you count the weight you get when you weigh in at your fills, or the weight you have on your home scale? I haven't had my first fill yet, but I was weighed at my first visit post-op. I presume I'll be weighed again when I go in for my first fill.

I'll take the scale that wieghs me the skinniest!

I use my home scale that way its the same time of day each time. And I am not wearing anything! lol. I try to not to pay attention to the one at the doctor because I always weight more there.

I track the weight at home each Monday morning as well as the weight at the dr office. I change my tickers though, based off my home weight.

I go by the bathroom scale at home. It seems to be fairly accurate and I am slightly more at the doctors office. The reason I like the one at home is because I can track daily, first thing in the morning without clothing. I feel like it is more consistent that way.

I use the one in the clinic. Why? 1) I know that it is calibrated and tested regularly, 2) measures more than just my weight but also % body fat, etc, and 3) I don't own a scale:biggrin:. I vowed never to own an instrument of torture, and so no scales! As well, I could easily become addicted to weighing and threfore start measuring my worth by a number - a very unhealthy approach for me.

I only use my bathroom scales. I haven't been to the doctor in ...... 5 months so I wouldn't know what I weighed hehe.

They told me you're all filled up you call us we won't call you.... LOL jk but ya, I haven't needed a fill in a long time.. thankfully.

I record by my bath scale. It's pretty right on, and it's always on the same time of day.

It's always pretty close or similar to what my Dr.'s office scale says.

Mine is accurate to my doctors scale. Although I typically weigh a pound or two lighter when I weigh myself first thing in the morning as compared to when I typically see my doctor in the afternoon. But I have come straight home from fill appointments and checked and my scale always jives with his.

Not that there is ever a huge difference but in my mind I go by my weight first thing in the AM because that is always the better number.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
