Fill Doctors

Hi Everyone,

I am almost 6 weeks post op and starting to look for a fill doctor

I was banded in Mexico so some of the doctors are not willing to do the fills. I have been told that Dr. John Vitello in Downers Grove will do fill but I do not really know how to get ahold of him.

Dr Chua is the other one people talk about but because I did not see him first the nurse did not know if they would do my fills they will let me know, but even if they will it is almost cheaper to fly back to Mexico. If anyone would know of any other doctors that might I would be for ever in your debt if you can give me there names. I live by Madison and with all the doctors in the area you would think I could find someone who would do the fills but there is not even a doctor who has done a lapband surgery, some of the doctors have not even heard of a lapband . I don't mind driving if I have to.

Thanks

Becky:)

If you don't live in a area with experienced fill doctors, I really suggest you just fly back to Mexico and get the fill with the doctor that did your surgery.

Doing a fill is a artform, its not just sticking a needle in and putting so many cc of saline. The least that could happen with a inexperienced doctor is that you will get not enough fill or overfilled. But I have read that some people had their band punctured while having a fill and had to have it repaired.

Hi Becky, I had my surgery in Sioux City Ia and my brother plans on going to Mexico for his surgery.I talked to my Dr. and asked if he would do my brothers fills and he said he would so you might try calling his office if you don't mind the driving distance. It is Dr. Rizk he works out of Midlands Clinic 2800 Pierce St. Sioux City IA, and the phone number is 712-252-3211. Good Luck. Roxanne

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
