Onederland is great but I can't wait til 2sday

Recommended Posts

Hi all -

I've read several posts about people who finally make it to "Onederland" (occurs when your weight drops below 200 lbs.)

Me personally, I will be just as excited to make it to TWOsday (occurs when you make it to below 300 lbs.)

Anybody else feel like me or felt like me when they finally made it to TWOsday?

I personally haven't seen 299 lbs or lower since 1997!

under 300 was a good feeling for sure. Not sure I will ever make it under 200 though. My goal is 200, but with my build I don't think it will happen.

Been at 240 for what seems forever.

What I do want to see is back into a size 34 pants. Back when I first meet my wife I was 215 and in a size 34.

I agree, getting below 300 felt great. For me, hitting 300 pounds was the impetus to have the surgery. Somehow, when I was in the 200's (even when it was 299 forever!) I kidded myself that my weight was just a "small problem." Hitting 300 really was what shook me out of my complacency and got me in the surgeon's office.

Having said that, I now weight under 200 pounds for the first time since I was a freshman in college, and it feels pretty nice too!

Wow that is so funny I felt the sam exact way, it was when the scall read ove 300 when I said shit I have to do somthing, funny though for me I went from being like 290 than the next time i weighed myself like a month or two later is was 320 I cant even tell you how much i felt like a dissapointment to myself I swore I woudl never be 300 lbs and here I was 320 lbs very depressing. I am just starting this journey I have my consultation on Wednesday but I do know that my insirance covers the operation 100 percent so I am happy about that. I am also down in weight as well I am 305 lbs now so I fell a little beter about that but I know after alot of research that the lap band is definelty for me and cant wait to get it done hope it goes fast. I had a sleep study done last night so atleast that is one thing out of the way . I must say that the sleep study was the most uncomfortable night sleep I ever had in my entire Life what a F*&^in nightmare. I was so tired after leaving that I had to come home and go to sleep for like 3 hours. Well enough rambling from me I am new here and just wanted to share my experience thus far hope to make some friends on here you guys all seem like nice guys

I understand what you are saying. My heaviest was 330, and that's when I knew I had to do something. Getting below 300 was pretty exciting. I was banded in April 08, so coming up on my 1 year anniversary. Right now I am at 227. My "realistic" goal all along was 220, so I am very close to that. But my, "holy crap I'm thin" goal is 199. Not sure if I am going to get there, but I am very happy with where I am so far after a year.

It takes time, but you will reach your goal! Just hang in there.

Hey YankeeFanatic - btw I won't hold that against you - you are going to love having this surgery done.

I'm sorry for your bad experience at the sleep clinic. Mine wasn't so bad - no picnic mind you - but not too bad.

Also, congratulations on getting back down to 305!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
