Protein shakes are for me ONLY the day afer a fill, and for that unpleasantness of last month when I go way toooo tight. other than that, no, I don't drink them.

I like to chew,and a shake doesn't meet that need/desire.

I'm glad I'm not the only one tapshoes. Eating is fun, and I love it...hence my problem. Drinking...well unless it has alcohol in it or it's just plain Water I'm just not that into it.

Ps- I am not an alcoholic, that was a joke.

One can stop taking Protein Shakes once they reach the stage of solid foods. Instead of shakes try to get the daily intake of Protein from solid food and a good whey Protein Powder. One can find Proteins in Beans, meat, eggs, dairy products, fish, fruits and vegetables, cereals, etc. My friend visited her doctor Dr. Nilesh Patel at Lap band Austin last month and consulted him regarding the drinking of protein shakes. He only suggested one can replace it with other items and can take shake every alternate day, if she wishes too.

I should pick up on them again...when I do drink one in morning mixed with flaxseed meal it holds off the hunger monster much longer, and I tend to eat less during the rest of the day... the shakes are also what I turn to when the weight in a plateu. My therapist recommends I go back to back one a day...she wants me to start again tomorow actually...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
