Tomorrow is the big day

Recommended Posts

Well its finally here and I'm sh&*%$$ my pants! I'm happy sad and terrified

all at the same time. I really havn't been able to eat for 4 days. Who would

have thought. Each time I try I'm in the bathroom 10 min. later. I know

its all nerves. I have this fear that I will have all kinds of problems after

the surgery and knowing that I did this to myself and I didn't have to.

I have been reading way too much I think. I'm making myself sick. Every time

I tell someone I'm doing this they ask me if I'm crazy that I'm not big enough

to do something so drastic. I know if I could do this on my own I would have

done it a long time ago. I'm 5'2" 211lbs. I have a very bad back and that

is the main reason for doing this. I know in the long run I will be happier and

healthier. I just need some reassurance. Has anyone out there had their

surgery with Dr. Edward Mun in Boston. Ok enough rambling thanks for

listening.

Mayflower,

You're just like most of all of us -- nervous, scared and full of anxiety. It's all part of the process. Good luck with your surgery and we will see you in Bandland!

I was banded last week and I know what you are feeling. Everything will be fine and soon you will be wondering what you were so nervous about!

Good luck and best wishes.....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
