Question for "older" bandsters...

Recommended Posts

Hey, I've been banded since 05, with my lowest weight being spring of 06...

I have gained consistently since (almost 50 lbs of the 60 something lost). I've had 2 complete unfills due to hpylori and a blockage, but we can't get more than 1 cc back into my band!

Anyway... here's my question... I have been having really bad gas pain and localized sharp left ab pain for about a week (I was thinking ovarian cyst), but now the pain is gone and I have INTENSE itching in the same area!!!

Any ideas as to what may be going on???

I would talk to my doc, but I wasn't covered on insurance and my hubby's hours have been drastically cut since the recession has taken down the auto industry... I just don't have the bucks to fork out right now.

It's important you see your Dr. for a complete checkup as soon as you can. Your symptoms could indicate problems not related to your band that should not be neglected. Best wishes to you

Cheri,

I have had nothing but problems with my band for a while now. Because of it I have gained back all the weight I lost. I feel so defeated. I thought I was the only one gaining but after seeing your post makes me wonder how many have regained the weight? I bet ya we are not the only ones.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
