Okay so who else went off the normal diet due to the hoilday season? I have to say I have lost 105lbs since may 21st 2008 and I felt as long as I did not gain weight ( just maintained ) that it was okay to let loose and enjoy in small amounts the foods I like and have not really had since I went on this weight loss trip. Just wanted to see if i was alone... or if others gave into a short break.

My plan to get back on track is a big salad I made tonight with lots of healthy stuff and some chicken for the Protein I need. I just plan to munch on that for lunches durning the week. And as always Im back in the gym 5 days a week.

So am I alone? And if not... what are you doing to get back on track?

~~Jessica :)

I think that's a healthy attitude. The goal of this for me anyway was always just to be normal. Normal people enjoy Christmas or Easter and partake moderately of what's on offer. They eat a bit more than they normally do and they even maybe gain a pound or two.

The key is getting back on the wagon. That's the skill we really all need/needed to develop. I'm back to my regular routine and love that I didnt gain any weight. But yeah, I had fun and certainly drank a bit more than normal.

Yep, me too. Ate more junk than normal. Had some things that I literally only get once a year. Didn't gain any weight and actually lost a pound! Not saying I didn't feel a little icky from eating some of it. System just isn't used to it anymore.

I've also discovered that I just can't handle the sweets too much anymore. They don't make me sick or anything, just too sweet tasting. And some of it doesn't even look or sound good anymore!

My plan is the same as Jacqui's. Really, just to be normal again! (I didn't start gaining weight til my early 20's!) I think that's all any of us really want. That and to be healthy and live longer than we would have had we not lost the weight.

I did not deprive myself over the hollidays at all. I ate what i wanted and ejoyed it all! I did manage to keep up with my work out schedule wich helped alot. Now its time to get into kick ass mode and get ready for that spring break bathing suit!

I went on vacation and basically ate what I wanted (but couldn't eat much) and didn't lose or gain. I am fine with that.

I went to NYC to visit my friends from when I lived there a few years back--- and ate the top of a pizza, some great Israeli food, amazing thai food at my favorite thai restaurant in NY and lots of other things... some bad things too, like candy (peanut m & m's, plain m & m's and a snickers bar.) I stayed with a guy friend who had less than great food at his house. I had captain crunch for Breakfast and cheese and crackers at 4 am when we'd get home from the bars (seriously, that's how he eats!) Oh, and I drank a lot!! I even took a shot, which I thought might make me die, but just made me incredibly drunk!!!

but I didn't gain weight, so that's perfectly fine with me!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
