what foods restrict you the most

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

Just curious about the foods that cause restriction. Is there a common link with certain foods and the number of fills? I had my third fill on Dec, 17 and find that when I eat any rice i feel restricted. Also, raisins do it to me as well. How about you? I would love to hear. lauslin

Banded on 10/23 with at 4cc fill on dec. 2. I haven't eaten anything that has given me issues. I can only eat 1/2 a sandwich and very little pasta/rice. My portion size is maybe a 1/3 of what I use to eat. I am feeling hurgry now but can't do anything about a fill until the end of January begining of february..:tongue2:

Bread is my problem food. I didn't have any problems at first but I think now I forget and eat to big and way to fast. I wish I would really remember to take little bites and chew really well. Now will I give bread up, naturally NO. I'm stubborn. Merry Christmas all....

that is so funny. I recently had the same problem with boiled eggs. My Dr. told me to eat eggs because I am lacking Protein and my hair is falling out. I said, no problem and boiled up some eggs, planning to eat 2. I could hardly get one down, stuck.

It's a bit unpredicatable... for example, I make this great turkey salad and eat it all the time (for lunch several times a week) but last night it got stuck. I didn't PB but it was definitely a not great feeling.

I have had that stuck feeling with a lot of different foods. I have only PB'd a few times, and DO avoid those foods or foods like them by all means (fried chicken, french fries, etc.)

I have been filled twice. I have a 10cc band, which has 4cc now. I have restriction, but I have not been stuck with food yet. I chew, chew, chew before I swallow the food. I eat sushi, chicken, turkey, bread and steak (just a few examples). I vey small quantities, because I am afraid of being stuck. I don't want to go there, so I try to be very careful.

Iv had 3 fills. The only food I feel that too much restriction problem is fruits. Dates hit me hard yesterday, but fresh pinneapple, eating cantelope too fast. Pretty much any fruit.< /p>

I can eat pizza, subs anything else but fruit.

Definitely starches - rice, grits (southern specialty which I love)! Just a couple bites of either and I am in misery for hours! Also baked chicken or turkey if they are dry!

I haven't had a fill yet and so far can eat anything. I have had Pasta, Lo-mein, fried rice. I have not tried regular bread and don't plan to - I only tried some rye bread toasted and was fine. My appetite is starting to increase but I'm not eating as much as I was before the surgery. I have learned to take it slow. I can't wait for a fill to help me get more restricted. And now that the holidays are over - I need to get back on track!

I have a hard time with bread and also Pasta.< /strong>

I have tried to eat a pork chop and chicken breast and no matter how much I chew and no matter how small the bite is ......it just don't go down.

And then there are times where something I've always eaten without a problem becomes a problem that day!!

My Dr. has told me that emotions play a big role and I can tell if .....I'm uptight for any reason my band is tight!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
