Valentine's Day Weight Loss Challenge/goals

Recommended Posts

20 lbs for me. I need a push myself. That will put me at 155 lbs. I need to make goal by March, 2009 so the mini goal in February is just what I need. Thanks.

I want to get in on this challenge too! I really need it.

I was banded on 10/08.....have lost 24 pounds to date and need something to motivate me. This is just the thing.

Lots of fellow banders to keep me accountable! :)

My goal is 12 pounds. I plan to reach this goal by exercising and staying away from those sweets that go down so easy!

Much success to everyone. Together we can do it! :tongue_smilie:

OK, first post and I'm in.

I was banded on June 9, 2008 at 362lbs maximum. Last time I weighed in was December 23 at 280lbs.

I'll go for 250lbs - or 30 lbs by Valentines day. It's aggressive, but I think I could pull it off if I add exercise to my day from now on.

Looking forward to reporting back.

Oh, BTW, the picture is at 60lbs down. I'll update on Valentines day.

Well, I have been doing 15-20lbs a month, so a challenge is to hit 30 in about 6 weeks.

Excercise, no alcohol (the holidays) and no treats - I should be able to achieve it or close to it.

I also have a fill on Feb 5

Good luck

Good to hear from everyone. It sounds like this is hitting home at a good time for everyone. I'm pulling for each and everyone to achieve their goal. Whether it's 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 pounds that Soon to be thin to targeting, all will be for our health. Fat will be a thing of our past.

I had a bad weekend because for some reason, I ate what seemed like to be more than my 3 oz. each meal. I didn't get full. I have my first fill on 1/25 so hopefully that will take care of not feeling full. It will also be good to get back to a exercise routine tomorrow. Since christmas I haven't walked at all and I irritated at myself for letting me get lazy.

So for me this will get me back into the routine of losing.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
