Good Evening

I'm am so proud of everyone. You are staying the course and doing so well. Update on me, I get my first fill on wednesday and I'm in the danger zone where I'm grazing between meals and I'm so hungry. I know I'm not eating near the amount of food I was pre surgery but still more than 4 oz.

I am finally feeling better and will attempt to get back on the treadmill tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to exercising and for me that's an improvement because I'm just lazy sometimes, well at least before being banded.

Anyways stay focused and VD is almost hear. I know we will all reach at least 90% of the weight we wanted to lose and some of you will lose 150% or more of the weight you wanted to lose.

A preview for those that have stuck it out on this thread, will be a easter sequel and then the summer third installment of this thread.

Peace.............:wink2:

Good to hear how everyone is doing. I said I would lose 10# and it's been a struggle lately. I've lost 4.5, but I need a fill. Am sooooo hungry between meals. :wink2: It's been really hard. Next appt is scheduled for 2 more weeks. Not sure how I'm going to last without overeating but I'm going try. :Dancing_wub:

Tick, tick, tick, tick 18 days left to Valentines Day. Congrats to those losing weight and we're almost to our goal. I FINALLY broke through my plateau and starting losing again. I'm down 8 pounds and have 8 pounds to go before the end of the challenge. And I get my first fill tomorrow or thursday. I'm a little nervous about that. :cursing:

Haven't checked in for a while, been a rough few weeks. My mom needs open heart surgery, my 16 yr old foster daughter ran away, and refuses to go to school or come home, so she's in juvenile hall. She has choosen to live with her pot head uncle on her real mothers side.

But through it all, I've eatin, it seems everything in site, but to my surprise I still managed to lose and have 2lbs to go to meet my challenge goal. I'm thinking I may push it another 5 or so lbs. I know if it weren't for this challenge I would never have gotten back on track.

Kaelin's G-Ma. Sorry to hear about all the negative things in your life, but you are doing well on your weight loss. I was on a plateau too, but as of today, I have lost 63 lbs. since Oct. 3, 2008. I will keep your Mother and foster child in my prayers. What is wrong with kids these days. It makes me wonder if they would have made it back in our day. I truly believe that we just have to put our faith in the Lord.

Most of all. Take care of yourself. You can't care for anyone else unless you are fit and able.

God Bless,

I'm 1# away from my Valentine's goal. :) Had a .2cc fill yesterday and I sure do feel the difference in how much I can eat. I usually eat 2 scrambled eggs and fruit for Breakfast and this morning 2 eggs made me over full. It's going to take a while to wrap my mind around eating so little. I've always been able to eat 1-1/2 cups and now it's about 1/2 - 3/4 C. Hope this helps make my V-day goal.

I have lost 3 more pounds as of this morning! I have lost 9 pounds...my valentines goal was 15. I may have been a bit to idealistic and I won't make 15 by Valentines. But 9 is 9 pounds gone forever !

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
