me me me!!! haha I'm excited!

But for some reason, it does not feel real yet... Not until they're wheeling me into the surgery room :blushing:

I am scheduled for February 2009, too. I live in San Diego, CA and cannot wait. Of course, a little nervous, too. However, I KNOW this is the right surgery for me and am excited to begin my healthier life.

Hello,

My name is Ann. I am scheduled for surgery on Feb 5th and I am looking forward to it. But I must confess I am a little nervous about the pain afterwards. I live in Phila, Pa, is there anyone else from the area? Have you all had your testing?

Let me know

Ann

Ann what testing are you refering to. I see the dr on the 5th to get my surgery day which I'm hoping for the 2nd of Feb. I think I've read about everything I possibly can and I think I'm ready. I know it will be a rough few weeks but in the end it will be all worth it. Tam

I should have said "lab work", sorry for the confusion. I have completed mine and now I have to go back to the Dr's on the 19th. I agree that it will be worth it and I am excited.

I am currently waiting on insurance approval but have a tentative date of Feb 5th . I am anxious to get the approval and am very excited about a banded future.

Congratulations everyone on Feb. banding, I just got my date the other day, Feb. 4th, I'm excited, it's been along time in coming. I'm self pay so I'm having it done with Dr. Kirchenbaum in CO.:)

I have my surgery date, February 25, 2009 at UCSD. I am in San Diego. Anyone else from San Diego having surgery at UCSD. I am so ready. Tired of being sick and tired. Tired of carring around 100+ extra pounds. Sound familiar to anyone?

I'm so glad that you have all posted you dates of surgery, it helps to know that others are either on or around the same days as myself.

Yea... I found out Monday that my surgery date is Feb. 3rd.

I'm so excited but anxious at the sametime. I start my pre-op diet on the 19th. Which I'm excited about as it is not a liquid diet but a no/low carb diet. I've been gathering up all the things I've read on here to have on hand. Now if I can only start exercising more I'd be in fine shape (excuse the pun).

I'm going in on February 16th with Dr. Ortiz. I'm so excited, but I'm not looking forward to the pre-op diet. my BMI is a bit higher than they'd like, so I have to lose over 15 lbs.

I'm so happy for all of us! FINALLY we're on the road to being healthy!!!

Hello. This is my first post, but I have been lurking for a couple of months. I received my surgery date (FINALLY), February 3rd.

I am on one hand VERY excited and find myself thinking "oh, this will be my last fat Christmas" but then again also so nervous I keep asking myself am I crazy to do this.

I too have been lurking. I have my first appt with Dr. Abkin, FLorham Park, NJ. I am hoping for a Feb. date as well. I will let you all know if I will be the Feb. Band Wagon.

Hey I'm new here. I got my surgery date today, February 2nd! I'm really excited. I am having my surgery with Dr. Ren at NYU.
