Well, I went yesterday for my second consultation...I added some things that I want done. I initially wanted a Tummy Tuck and inner thigh tuck. I'm going to have a lower body lift and breast lift with augmentation. I'm scheduled for April 14. The total for everything, including hospital stay, fees, implants, everything is just about $19,000. I will be paying for everything myself but I know it's so worth it. It also includes all follow-up visits forever!!! Good luck (and wish me luck).

Yes Good Luck! You're already beautiful this is just going to be the icing on the cake!

Let us know how it goes! I'm halfway to goal. I have 260lbs to lose, I've lost 130. I need to have my pannus removed and I understand the insurance will pay for that. However, they won't pay for a Tummy Tuck. I wonder how difficult it would be to travel for my plastics.

I just had my first consultation and was quoted $9450 for an extended TT.

I'm looking at having my inner thighs and breasts done as well. I might combine one of those procedures with my TT if I can swing it. $$

Waiting to see if insurance will cover part of my TT. *fingers crossed*

I am also looking to get a lower body lift and some new girls. I am hoping to find it cheaper than my lapband cost me $18,500. I have two teenage daughters that start college this year uggh.. I don't want to wait 5 years for them to get my plastics done but as their mom I just can't see paying another almost twenty grand when that can go toward college. If I can find it for around 10 grand I think i can swing it! Does anyone know if the lower body lift includes a mons lift?

Mum of two boys.. good luck girl! You are gorgeous and you will be batting the men away!!!! congrats!

OK...my loan was direct deposited this morning. It's all getting real now. I'm getting nervous but so very excited. My friend is getting a lower body lift next week and it does include a mons lift. I didn't ask my surgeon about that but I will call his assist today and ask. I can't believe that it's less than two months away. Since I have the money in the bank I can get it done anytime now but I need to save leave at work. YIKES...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
