Waco Band Buddies

Recommended Posts

hi

i just found out that i will not be getting banded on jan 22 after all. my insurance requires 6 months instead of 3 months so i have another 3 to go. i will be getting a date in late march so i will getting banded around that time. im a little upset but im getting over it. its good to hear that you are doing ok and im sure once you get your fill you will start to feel more restriction and drop the pounds. im thinking abt starting the Protein shakes anyway so i can find different stuff that i like. im goiing to try to do them for a few days out of the week. that way hopefully when i start mine for real i will be sort of prepared, lol.

keep in touch

Hi all, I had my surgery at Providence with Dr. Sims. He is great and so is his staff. They have a great support group that meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7pm. You can contact Melissa (she's the program coordinator) at 751-4300 if you have any questions.

All, I can say is I had my surgery on April 2008 and it has been the best decision I have ever made.

Hi...I live in the Waco area! I had my surgery in Dallas 1 year ago. I have lost about 75 pounds from surgery date. I still have about 30-40 til my goal. I am going to start attending the support groups at Providence this month. Although they only meet one time per month. Would love to hear more from other in the Waco area on the same journey.

 Hi- I'm brand new to the boards but live in Waco and am debating having surgery here in Waco or in Mexico. I am still feeling nervous about my decision. I would love to hear of you experiences and whether you put together a support group. Jenny

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
