There are a couple of fill nurses somewhere close to Seattle Washington. I used to have their name, but if you google fill nurses Seattle or Bellingham you should come up with their clinic. I am sure someone else will give you the website as well once they read your request.

Took time to look up the site northwestfills.com.

I just wish to thank the support group ( Lions Gate ). I attended my first meeting, June 17th. As I said in the group, I am the RN Coordinator for the Lap Banding Program we are starting up this summer at False Creek Surgical Center. I made a separate post regarding the program with the info. I am hoping to get things started before summer's end!! I know that having a local choice for this procedure is needed!

At the meeting, one of the questions was regarding if we would provide fills to other banded patients. I am still clarifying this with our medical director and will post this info as soon as I receive it. I do not want to post wrong information here!!

I look forward to future sessions and hear everyone's Lap Band experience. See you at the next meeting.

Thanks

Rhonda

I am officially unbanded as of today and can put this negative experience behind me. I may join weight watchers now once I am better.

My best wishes for your success in the future. Just because you don't have the band, doesn't mean you can't keep in touch. I would love to hear how you are doing. Doreen

His Everyone. Had my fluro at the Northwest fill clinic and was suitably impressed by the friendly but professional manner in which I was received.

The band is properly placed and the Fluid went down easily. The nurses did recommend that I was restricted enough and that 5.5 appears to be the best fill level.

Their clinic was easy to find and I certainly will be going back once a year to have the band checked. For $250 American, the peace of mind was worth more.

Hi all: I am dancing on air. After 2 1/2 years of slow weight loss (.25 lbs per week first year) of .18 lbs per week this year, the doctor has declared that I am no longer diabeties controlled but Diabeties cured. Oh, how sweet it is. The band works guys. Even though I have sometimes abused the band by not chewing my food as I should many times, it was forgiving. I have had no problems with the band except the flipped port. Now I can concentrate on my chewing and weight goal as my health is normal. ^_^

Hi everyone,

I'm just touching base - still can't make it to the meeting time - to my deepest regret!! So, my weight loss is painfully slow - .5 lbs per week - plataued for a month! I've switched things up a bit - hope to get better results.

I've got 13 ccs in my 10 cc band - crazy or what! it is a 10 cc silimed band - and the thing is - I STILL DON"T HAVE ENOUGH RESTRICTION ...has anyone hear of this before? Would any of you recommend floroscopy?

Please feel free to watch my videos on youtube - kbf1 is my channel name!!

Cheers,

K

Hi: Go back to the surgeon and ask him to answer your questions as to why you have so much fill over and above the recommended level by the manufacturer. You could have a band that is leaking and need it repaired.

The other suggestion I have is "what are you eating?" are you eating to many liquids or slide down easy foods and not the solid protein! Are you tracking what you eat, are you exercising. Tell us more so we may have some suggestions.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
