You won't set anything off - the device is made out of silicone and titanium. In fact, I went through security today and got a green light!

I flew 4 days after being banded, and it was fine. BUT what's this Physician's card about Aspirin that you got?? My Dr. didn't give me anything like that, but I have heard it is bad for the stomach. Does it say to never take it??

When I went for my first check-up after beibg banded, the nurse gave me a card to carry in my wallet. It's made of plastic and it says that I have a 10cc Lapband and the Dr.'s name and # on it. She said it shouldn't affect anything at an airport but it was just in case. Ask your Dr. if he has a card like that for his patients.

I had trouble tying my shoes after they made me take them off, but slip ons were not comfortable for all that walking, I needed my track shoes. Took me about 10 minutes to get those shoes back on by myself.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
