So I'm not really hungry but I'm getting cravings. I was banded July 29th and the first week was great. Now I'm able to get more liquids down and I'm eating popsicles and fudgebars like 3 at a sitting....and I'm drinking tons of (sugar free) juice. I am eating mashed potatoes and gravy now that I'm in the pureed and full liquid stage. I did have a biscuit last night:( it was soft and I chewed well and moistened it.) It went down alright and I don't plan on having another for another week. I think i did it mainly because...I'm a lil "plugged" if you catch my drift. And I hate having to take pills for everything so I was just trying to see if it would work itself out.

I'm also at the end of my lady friend and I thought I would drop a lil Water weight after I was done, and now that I'm consuming more than 200 calories a day(that's what I did for the first week, and I trrrrriiied to get my calories in) I've gained 4 pounds back!!! I know to stay patient but it doesn't make sense. I'm getting about 500-800 calories a day, enough to jumpstart my metabolism and I'm walking around more and doing chores around the apartment, etc.

Oh yeah sneezing hurts a TON!!!:sad::):lol: :ohmy::cursing::smile2:

Hi Blackcherry, Many of us can relate to you. After being banded you are healing for 6 weeks and really not losing weight. Even after your first or second (maybe more) fill will you start to lose weight. Remember that everyone is different and some people lose 50 lbs before their first fill. Read some of the posts under lap-band fills and you will get a very good explanation of how the band works. Since being banded June 21st I have only lost 2 lbs and I have had a fill. Don't get discouraged, it takes time to get to your perfect fill. We are all rooting for you.

Boy this forum really hits home with me today. My poor husband, just listened to me go on and on I am so fustrated. I have not seen the scale move since Sunday and its fustrating since i am hardly eating at all. 2 Cups of Soup a day and Protein Drinks. I have been back to work since Tuesday. My surgery was on July 31st. My husband said that i just need to have patience, the weight did not come on overnight and its not going to go away that fast. But all of you that are on the liquid phase know its just fustrating. I know its going to be a long road, but the bumps stink!!

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
