I went in for my first fill last Wednesday (5-23) and since then I've gradually had more and more pain in the muscles around my port. This morning I woke up in bad pain in this area, and anytime I move, the muscles cramp up horribly and I can't move.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm really worried...

Please call Dr. Horgan ASAP if you haven't already done so. Let us know what he says.

I asked that Michele Barjon lady about it last week when I was in for my fill, and she completely brushed it off. The pain wasn't as bad then. Today I called MIBC (I also had to make an apt for a new fill since the first didn't do the trick) and the nurse brushed me off as well, saying she really had no clue about the pain. I have an appointment tomorrow so hopefully everything will be okay until then!

I sure hope so. I'm sorry to hear that the nurses brushed off your problem. Maybe you should mention that to Dr. Horgan when you see him for your appointment. He needs to know how his staff is responding to patients' concerns. Good luck!

Hmmm... you're doing all the right things. It's not like you called Dr. H during the middle of the night, so he had no reason to be rude. Let's see how he responds tomorrow. With luck, your pain will have already vanished.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
