Really BASIC question - what is PBing?

Recommended Posts

OK, this is totally basic - what is PBing - what does it actually stand for? What's the difference between that and sliming?

I was just banded yesterday.

pbing is basically burping and food comes with it. It stands for productive burp. Sometimes it's just as gentle as that. Sliming is when food gets stuck and won't go through the band. You mouth fills up with thick saliva as your body is trying to pass the obstruction. Eventually, it either goes through the band or you throw it up.

Both are to be avoided at all costs by chewing your food very well and taking tiny bites. You don't have to be as careful until you have a fill.

I have had times when I threw up for hours. That is not pbing. That is throwing up. You don't get all the stomach acid like you do when you have the stomach flu, but it's more than a productive burp.

Sooo it's kinda like a mini throw up? If you know what I mean? I get them now anyway and I'm not banded but it's usually with certain foods, hopefully that'll stop once I'm banded lol

Yes, you could call it a mini throw up. When something is stuck and pops right up, it's not that bad. When something is stuck and won't come up, it

can be painful and the slime goes on for a good long while. I am glad I am done with all that. I haven't had a fill since Dec. and I have perfect restriction and can eat anything I want. It pays off in the end!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
