Day of Surgery Weight and how much you have actually lost?

Recommended Posts

I have been on here one month and I have realized that most of the weight loss tickers are including weight loss from PRIOR to surgery. I want to know what others have lost SINCE DAY OF SURGERY??? My surgery was 7 days ago and I have lost 7 pounds!!! Thank you for sharing a little inspiration here:thumbup:

With the band I lost 130 pounds.

Titancupcake, I don't really count calories. I know I probably should but I am not OCD-enough anymore to worry about it. I don't really have the time right now to figure it out. Plus I don't drink all of the extra Protein drinks. My doc just has women drink 2 glasses of skim milk a day (which I don't do most days either). He hasn't said anything about the Protein Drinks to me. Aren't there a lot of calories in the Protein Drinks?

I just eat until I am getting slightly full (maybe a 3-4 on a scale of 1-10, 10 being stuffed). Then I also try to eat slowly and I say to myself "if I was a skinny girl, how much of this meal would I actually eat?" So yesterday for instance, I had 1/2 of a 6" turkey sub from subway on wheat bread for lunch and I had 1/2 a wrap for dinner. Sometimes I get hungry, but I try to fight the urge to snack. Maybe your band isn't tight enough? Have you talked to your doc about it?

I weighed 319 when I started my pre-op diet on March 28. I weighed 296 on surgery day, April 11 (23lbs in two weeks). Yesterday, I weighed 232 which is 118 days/just shy of 4 months since I began my pre-op diet (87lbs) and 104 days/just shy of 3.5 months since my surgery (64lb). I do cardio 4 days a week and weight train 3 days a week. I also haven't had a fill.

I want to be at 90lbs lost in 4 months so I need to lose 3 lbs by Sunday...probably not going to happen but I'll live with 89lbs by Sunday LOL!

Good Luck everyone!

My surgery was on 2/11/08 and I weighed 283. Today I weigh 237. I’ve lost 46 Lbs. since surgery.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>

My highest weight was 330 Lbs. so as of today my grand total is 93 Lbs.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>

I still have a ways to go, but with each passing day is another pound (just a phrase) lost. It adds up over time.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>

My workout routine is pretty strict. I workout every morning and every night six days a week. I’m supposed to take Fridays off, but I still did a power walk this morning of 2.5 miles.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>

Just remember to eat the right things most of the time, come up with an exercise routine and adhere to it like gospel and the band will help you to keep your portions small and to keep you satisfied until your next meal. The rest is up to you.<o:p></o:p>

Day of Surgery was Feb.27th 2008 and weighed 329. I weigh 289 now. So 40 lbs since surgery.

Not as fast as others but I don't have an exercise routine even though I am working on getting one.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
