Celebrating many things!!

1) I quit smoking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't had a smoke since Monday at 7:00 pm.... it was the only cigarette I smoked all day Monday and I was just about to murder someone so I had to have just one last one! As a result

2) I have selected my doctor! Dr. Proctor, Obesity Solutions in Gainesvile Ga.

3) I called my insurance company to get the super specific details (make sure everyone was in network, all procedures are covered by my policy so long as they are pre authorized and performed by an in network doctor). Everything was perfect. All of the doctors are in network. They gave me very specific directions for payment, submitting bills that I might receive, tracking what I've paid vs. what I've submitted, etc. My insurance (BCBS) was super helpful. They answered so many of those tricky questions and spent literall over half an hour on the phone with me explaining things!

4) I am going to have to pay $1,000 LESS than I originally anticipated!! I thought my out of pocket MAX (insurance) was $3,000, but it's actually $2,000!! YaY!

5) I don't think I'll have to do any medically supervised diet and per my insurance company, pre auth should only take 2-3 business days!!! I will have to do a psych eval but the doc I've chosen requires that anyways.

I've filled out all of my paperwork, made copies of everything, now I just need my PCP to sign off on a form and everything will be ready to send off to the surgeon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
