searching 4 good high protein bars

Recommended Posts

I have been trying different ones in preparation for the lapband. I have found the ones by Pure Protein are fairly tasty. They are carried by Walmart. They contain 19 gm Protein; assorted flavors. They sell individual bars so you can try each flavor to decide which, if any, you like.

Another tasty one is South Beach Living Crispy Meal Bar in Cinnamon Creme. It is also 19 grams Protein but doesn't taste like it is healthy! Which, of course, it is. It is also available at Walmart.

Depends on what point you are talking about. My surgeon recommends Atkins induction phase for pre surgery weight loss if you have three weeks or more before your surgery. The induction phase limits you to 20 g of carbs per day, which is very, very low.

I am a Pure Protein disciple. I love the chocolate and smores flavors. They are relatively low cal, no sugar, filling, and easy to digest. Plus they are pretty cheap and much more easy to find now than when I was banded 9 short months ago.

I can't stand the taste of most Protein bars...so if you're like me, and you're willing to sacrifice a bit of protein for taste, I would recommend Special K Protein Meal Bars. They have 10g. of protein per bar, and taste really really good! I usually eat one in place of Breakfast.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
