Hello! I'm a newbie here. Well, I'm getting banded on July 28th by Dr. David Kim at North Hills Bariatric in North Richland Hills, Texas (Ft. Worth area). And if it doesn't come soon I'm going to be big as a BARN as every dang meal I eat is as though it's my last

Congrats on your surgery date. I know exactly what your saying about the last meal, I did the same thing. My surgery is in 3 days and it has seemed to take forever to get here. I have been doing my pre-op diet for the past two weeks and it is really easier than I thought it was going to be. So just relax until the time comes for you to start your pre-op diet, and then you can do that too. Good luck to you on your journey.

:thumbup:How are you doing since the banding. I too went out and had my last meal, I tried to savor every moment of it. Today is my first day that I have felt any where normal, had my banding on July 28th also. I think this first week post op is going to be easier than the next week as I am feeling better every day and my appetite is coming back. Good luck to you.

Hey! Glad to hear you're doing good. Me too! Although I had a hiata (spell?) hernia, but he was able to repair it. BONUS!!! Running a low-grade temp but I hear that's normal for the first few weeks for some people. Makes you feel bad, though. Not real hungry yet, though (thank goodness). Wonder how long that will last? Anyway, HAPPY ONE-WEEK ANNIVERSARY TO US!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
