Newbie - Banded 4th April

Recommended Posts

Hi

I just wanted to introduce myself. I was banded 4th April in NSW Australia. I stayed in hospital overnight and went home the next day. I went through some depression the next few days wondering what I had done to myself but soon got over that. I also gave up smoking the day I went in for surgery, so that has been hard also.

After about a week I woke one morning and felt really hungry, from then I have had no restriction. I have really had to control myself to not totally binge. I am going to see my DR on Thursday for a fill, i really hope it helps me a bit in keeping the food demons at bay.

Anyway I hope to see you all around more, I love this forum and wish I had discovered when I was first researching.

Hi Kellie,

I was banded on April 8. I don't get a fill for another couple of weeks. My sister lives in Eaton, Western Australia.

Welcome, soon you'll be changing that name to Little Belly Kellie! My mom was banded on the 7th of April. She's gets her fill some time in May.

Hey Kellie-Bellie! I like your screen name! Little Belly Kellie will be nice though, eh? Good one HarleyNana! We have a few Aussie's on the April Bandsters list, so you are in good company! I was banded April 8th and I'm still very restricted. I can't imagine being able to eat just about anything with no restriction! I may never get a fill! And you gave up ciggies? wow. Good for you!

Anyway, welcome to LBT, glad you made it!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
