Piece of cake!

Hi Jazzy Junes--

I just got home at 11am from an overnight at the hospital. When I woke up in the recovery room I though they hadn't been able to band me because nothing hurt!

Got up to my room and was walking laps within an hour. They brought me a tray of clear liquid diet and I couldn't hardly eat any of it. Slept and walked all night. This morning the incisions were a tad sore, but the nurse squirted something in my IV and it didn't hurt anymore.

I have seven incisions! I wonder why....

So those of you worried about the pain--it was a lot less than thought it would be.

That's super! I was able to walk no problem and do what I needed to go to get the heck out of the hospital last night but I have to admit I feel like I've been in a bar fight that ended with getting stabbed (you should see the other guy LOL!). Oh and I couldn't see to well either. But I've taken a lot of pain meds in my time so I think I might suffer a little more than you guys. But still I am much better after a night's sleep and walking is no problem.

Yay! I'm so glad your surgery went so smooth, and with so little pain!

Mine was the same way. I've had a c-section before, and before the surgery I was preparing myself for that level of pain after the banding. But much to my surprise, it is MUCH more tolerable than a c-section. The pain was not near what I had expected.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
