It hasn't been an issue for me either. I started the 'no drinking while eating rule' and the 'chew till your food is liquid' before I was banded, so by the time I was banded I was already used to it. I too thought it would be a big deal at first, but it isn't. I don't even notice much anymore. It's become second nature, lol.

I'll admit, that was my biggest obstacle to overcome. I just make sure I don't have a drink in front of me while I eat. Simple enough. If I'm at work I'll dump my Water 30 minutes prior to eating/going to lunch. That is the easiest way for me to overcome the drinking while eating.

I do take a sip of Water if my food is really dry and I am having difficulty swallowing it. But if I have a glass of Water with a meal (like at a restaurant) there will be less than an inch gone at the end of the meal.

I drink before the meal; my doctor has a general rule of no drinking 15 minutes prior to eating, but then also says it really doesn't matter. His rule after a meal is 1 hour. It's something I have to remind myself of, but isn't a big deal. It does save money when we go out, because I never order a beverage anymore because I don't have time to drink it before the food comes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
