Good Morning! Keeping up with all your busy posts! Still not feeling great so I have declared a "sick day" today. I might not even get dressed. I've been sick for over a week, but life keeps keepin' on and I haven't been able to just CHILL! So that's what I'm doing today. Still running low grade temp and now I'm coughing! Kept me awake a lot last night. Think I will stay on the couch and maybe do a little beading.

Hope you all have a GREAT day! It's windy and chilly here today, but better than snow and ice... which is what they have back home today!

Everyone. No time to read or post. My daughter has aggressive breast cancer, it is in her lymph nodes and it is stage B or C. Don't know what all that means but I'll be finding out. She will probably have a bilateral mastectomy. In addition with the ovarian cyst which will also have to be biopsied she will be needing a complete hyst. My dad is going into the hospital early tomorrow morning for have his badly broken dislocated elbow put back together. Its been 5 days since he broke it and there are abrasions so its open as well and danger of infection. So I'm leaving school early tomorrow hopefully and going to the hospital to stay overnite with him so my mother can go home. With his dementia and anaesthetic and pain meds, he needs a relative to stay with him. My sister the Dr. says no one should ever be left alone without an alert and competent relative with them in the hospital at all times. This has really underscored the need to get my parents into that retirement village where my brother the Dr. can keep a close eye on them and help will be available to them at any moment. They're moving probably by May. I have 2 grandchildren due end of April as well. Will try to keep in contact as much as possible. Need your prayers and support. food and exercise are not pretty right now. Pray I'll be able to avoid major damage to myself and that I'll find time to take care of myself as well as everyone else.

Cheri

Prayers, prayers, prayers.........I will be lifting up your daughter, dad, and you during this time. Is this the daughter with two boys? Your poor dad......he sure didn't need this on top of his disability. Take care of yourself. It is hard to concentrate on food and exercise during this time. Just walk and do stairs in the hospital when you can. HUGS!

Cheri, sorry to hear about your DD and your dad -- will be thinking and praying for all of you. I have a close friend here who had aggressive breast cancer - and had radical mastectomy and all her nodes stripped had chemo and radiation. She's done very well last March had reconstructive surgery done -- so keep your positive thoughts because they are successful in treatment and are doing wonderful things. Don't overdo yourself -- don't spread yourself so thin that you'll get sick -- and don't turn to food - as Janet said - it won't help. Will be thinking of all of you. Hugs.

Janet, glad you had a good massage. I need another one. Saw chiro tonight -- feel pretty good -- got 6 inches of snow since 5 -- it's 10 now and winds are blowing -- drifting some.

Well, gotta get some sleep. Later everyone.

Linda

Good Morning Peeps! Well, I was pooped from moving my mother back in her apartment. I had to buy groceries, do laundry, and put up two months worth of clothes and crap she accumulated. What tired me the most is the temperature in that building. It is kept warm for the residents. I was soaking wet. Anyway, my mother is in her place. A lady is coming this morning to help her bathe and fix her Breakfast. I think she will do fine for a while. Assisted living is definitly in the future.

I am going to start praying every day for all of you on the mailing list. If you have a special request please let me know. Pray for me too!

Cheri, I prayed for you before I went to bed and when I got up this morning. I also know someone who had aggressive breast cancer when she was young. She had it in her lymph nodes. She had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction. That was twelve years ago. She is still cancer free.

Janet, let me know about the foundation. I am wearing Avon Anew right now then I used Laura Geller powder, eye shadow, MAC gel eyeliner. I started using Dr Denese facial products. My skin feels like velvet. Now, if it could look like Dr Denese's.

Lori, you are not posting........do we have a baby on the way? I picked today.

Apples, Happy Trails home!

Eva, what ya cooking for you dinner tonight. I made something really easy the other day. I put chicken breast in a dish and covered them in Paul Newman's Lighten up Lime dressing with a couple of Tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce. Baked them at 375 for 40 min. Oh my, they were delish. Could have cooked them in less time.

Joyce.....are you still sick?

Julie......how's the pain?

Linda.....hip....what's going on? Maybe a steroid shot would help

Jodi......what the endoscope test show? HUGS!

Meredith.....Chew, Chew today!

Jessica......what's going on?

Melissa.....are you okay since the fall?

Kelley......what's new?

Kristi.....how is the weight loss going?

Phyl.....did you go to the doctor. That stuff is hard to shake without antibiotics. HUGS!

Happy Friday all! Wow, did this week fly by!

2 week’s post-op – all is going well. I am down another 7.5 lbs since surgery on Feb 9 for a total of 22.5 lbs.

Stitches are dissolving and can be gone now!

I have become the puree queen! I have become very creative and like my creations.

I carry food with me when I am out and about so I never get in a tough situation. This is working really well.

Last night was my first business meeting dinner with some good friends & business contacts. OMG can you say a sticky situation. I thought I would be able to eat slowly... I ordered an appetizer with shredded pork. I ate slowly and all of sudden it got stuck. Not only did it get stuck but I started to feel faint and light headed. I didn’t want to pass out. I didn’t want to alert my dinner friends so I just sucked up and thank god it passed. Today I still feel full and still stuck. I am going to stay with a liquid & puree diet for the next 48 hours as well as a nice walk today. Maybe next time Greek or Mexican may be better choices.

Not to much on for the weekend which is nice. But the other week's ahead are really busy as we moved DH dad to a senior living and have a offer on his family home. so once it closes we will have to clear out the last of the remaining items.

We are having cold weather today in Vancouver it is to hit -10. That is really cold for us on the West Coast.

I wish everyone a fabulous Friday & great weekend!

Cheers,

Kristi

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
