Weigh in... how much have u lost?

Recommended Posts

As of yesterday I'm 62lbs. down. Unfortunately, that has happened without any exercise. I'm trying to get back into the grove now that I'm less self conscious about myself. Hopefully the exercise will speed up the weightloss. All of these 80-100 lb losses are motivating! Great job everyone!

I hate to say it. But last night I had a fluke, I went out to dinner with husband and friends and was able to drink, eat and be merry like the old days. Maybe I didn't eat at much as I used to or maybe I did. I don't know but it felt like a picnic. you didn't hear a word from me while I was eating.

Here's the bad news - up 3.5 lbs this morning. Won't be doing thisd again even if I can.

Have to be very careful at Superbowl party tomorrow with all the goodies.

Good luck to all of us.

I bet you're retaining some Water from the drinks. You might have gained a pound or two but I'm not sure it's possible to gain almost 4lbs overnight! Don't be too hard on yourself...we all have days/nights like that.

I was banded on 5/19 and have lost 45 pounds. It looks like I'm a slow loser compared to some others on this thread. I take karate and go 3-4x/week - it's a crazy workout and i sweat ALOT! I'm eating anywhere from 1350-1700 calories - varying day to day.

Can you all tell me what your calorie intake is and what your typical daily diet is? I'm getting frustrated and wondering what is up with me.

I'm right there with you. Same loss and working my butt off!!

I am going to the gym 6 days per week. Doing 45 minutes of cardio and 25 minutes of strength training.

My diet consists of 50-60g's of Protein, legumes, high Fiber Cereal (I munch on this for snack). I have definitely changed my eating habits for the better and I expressed my frustration to my doctor.

I made an appt. with a nutritionist to fine tune the nutrition some more.

I have been a slow loser all my life. In fact whenever I have gotten to this point in the past, I have always relapsed and started gaining again...more every time. I am determined to get past this "hump".

On the bright side, I have always shown a loss everytime that I have gone to the doctor, I have improved on my bad habits, I feel that the weight is gone forever.....

Keep plugging along. You owe it to yourself!!!

Thanks for the reply....I guess we just have to keep plugging along and not get discouraged. This is the point in past diets when i would go back to my old habits as well...So we have to look at all that we've accomplished and be grateful.

Going to karate class is a few minutes!

Thanks!

I try to stay around 1300 cals with at least 60g of Protein per day. Do you change up your workouts at least every 6 weeks?? I have been reading some research that says you need to change things up every 4-6 weeks or you body gets used to it. I have posted in other threads that I am doing ChaLean Exteme... It is a ninety day circuit training program similar to P90X...It really works, I am gaining muscle and burning fat.:cursing:

104 lbs as of today!!!

I am doing Power 90 which is by Tony Horton who does P90X, it is what he did before P90X and not as extreme. I am noticing great results and hope to maybe do P90X after this 90 days is over. I am just now going into week 4 though so it's a ways off.

I am losing slow compared to a lot of people. I try to stay around 1,200 calories. I do really well at sticking to 60 grams of Protein, then vegatables and then carbs. I started doing Turbo Jam the 20th of January and it is helping. I have lost 4 pounds since I started. I have lost a total of 53 pounds.

Finally!!!! I've been at the same weight for weeks. Lost 3lbs as of this morning!! Gone forever:biggrin:

Hey Ladies... the workouts you guys have been mentioning above (power 90, P90x, Turbo Jam, etc...) are these DvD, books or classes you attend? I need to have a better excerise plan. I am slowing down and colories alone are not doing it for me anymore. I really struggled to lose these last 3 pounds.

Congrats on the loss!!! The Power 90 and P90X are DVD's and are available at www.beachbody.com they are the only 2 I am familiar with also P90X is sold on QVC. P90X is much more intense and more expensive but is a series of about 12 DVDs. Power 90 is cheaper and a series of 2 DVD's. Though Power 90 is a DVD I do it up at my rec center. It started out just 2 of us doing it and now 3 others have joined us and none of us have room in our living rooms for that many. So the rec center lets us use a TV and the aerobic room when there is no class going on. NOw folks are seeing us iin there and interested in joining us as well. Though it's not a 'sanctioned' class, it just started out as 2 friends working out together. But it's neat to know we've inspired others.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
