  1. Dr. Pecquex is the best!!! I have been a patient of hers for almost 2 years. I work at a MAJOR medical center in Boston as an RN but I chose to have my band placed at St. Elizabeth's by Dr. Nicole. The level of personal attention is unprecidented(?sp). I have never had a problem getting through to their office. The entire staff at the Center for Weight control is great.
  2. I try to stay around 1300 cals with at least 60g of protein per day. Do you change up your workouts at least every 6 weeks?? I have been reading some research that says you need to change things up every 4-6 weeks or you body gets used to it. I have posted in other threads that I am doing ChaLean Exteme... It is a ninety day circuit training program similar to P90X...It really works, I am gaining muscle and burning fat.:cursing:
  3. I was losing very slowly too. Last time I saw my surgeon I was actually up .5 lbs. I started doing circuit training with the Chalean Extreme videos and weights. The scale is finally moving. In the first month of the workout, I lost 8% body fat and 12 inches. What are others doing for exercise???
  4. Has anyone started the new Chalean Extreme workouts? I am looking for some buddies for accountability/support. I started the program on 12/29. It must work...I am soooo sore.
  5. Happy New Year to Everyone!!! I haven't posted in a long time. I am almost down 70 lbs with less than 20 to go. How are people doing with exercise??? I have had a problem being consistant with working out and that is probably why my loss has slown down. Does anyone do home work out videos?
  6. I was shocked when I got on the scale this morning. I have been losing slowly for the past 2 months. Thrilled to get into the 170's this morning!!!! I love my band!!!!!:rolleyes2:
  7. Is anyone having any trouble with "night time" eating. I do very well during the day, then after 8pm....snacks. I am definatley not eating as much as I did before surgery...any tricks/tips
  8. I can do shrimp and lobster as well. I go to Maine every weekend. At least once while we are there, I will have a lobster roll ...very light on the mayo...I have never had a problem with it. Of course I dont eat the bread!!
  9. What does restriction feel like?? I have only had one fill 1cc in a 4cc band. I find that at night, I can eat anything. During the day I am so busy, just barely have time for breakfast and lunch. I did have an episode of "frothing"...was eating buffalo wing and drank some crystal lite.. But I am curious about full restriction... do you feel full all the time?? Is there an actual physical feeling of tightness?? Thanks for any input
  10. I went shopping today and picked out a pair of designer jeans...I decided to get the size 14 ( a size that I have not seen in 21 years)...I went home and tried them on and THEY FIT...not too tight, not too loose...I cannot believe it...DH noticed the new jeans right away!!:whatchutalkingabout
  11. Hi Leann, I live near Pizzi Farm. I grew up in Watertown..I have been living in Waltham for about 5 years. My daughter goes to Macarthur. My mom worked at Waltham Hospital until they closed...she was the director of the maternity unit. As a teen( thousands of years ago..) I worked at Francis food Market. Why wont your insurance pay??? Have you priced out hospitals around here?? Just curious. Where do you live?? If you want to contact me to talk via phone or in person, email me at eacampbell@partners.org, and I'll send you my phone number. I bet we know some of the same people as it sounds like you grew up in waltham... Talk to you soon... Liz
  12. Hi Sue, Good to hear from you. I had my first fill a week ago...10 weeks after surgery. I have been steadily losing. I feel that I can eat way too much. I am still able to eat 1-2 slices of pizza:thumbdown: I very rarely feel full. I do very well during the day( I am on the road all day as a visiting nurse)...It is after 4pm that I misbehave...Definately still having food issues. But, I am losing. I think I have 1cc in a 4cc band. I am assuming that restriction means feeling full...I dont really have that. Seeing surgeon again in 3 weeks. How are things with you??? Looks like you are soooo close to goal. I have about 36lbs left to lose and I imagine that the last 10-20 will be the hardest. Liz
  13. Hi Leann, I live in Waltham too!! I was banded on May 19th. Where are you having your surgery??
  14. Have you tried the south beach bars... also the whey protein bullets are great..they are only 3ounces not sure if that is too much liquid for airlines
