Just wanted to share because I am so excited. It's been about 3 1/2 months since my surgery and I hit 100 pounds on Tuesday! I feel great. I exercise 3 or 4 times a week and it's just nice to have the energy to do things with my children again.

I remember being super excited and super nervous and I am so glad everything worked out for me so I could have this surgery because it really has given me my life back and oh yea I'm finally starting to feel good about the way I look again. I have a pretty high self-esteem anyway so anybody who knows me well jokes with me about what this will do for my self-esteem. This is the only aspect of my life I felt I had little control over and I am finally glad to be in control of everything about me.

I try to eat healthy...sometimes that doesn't always happen, but there is not anything specific...maybe lots of chicken and fish but other than that I just make sure I get my Protein in for the day however that may be.

See that seems a bit fishy, I don't know about anyone else but I have NEVER heard of anyone with the lap band loosing that much - gastric bypass yes but not the lap band and if that is true are you even really eating?

Congrades, how much more do you need to lose to reach goal?

I read somewhere else that she started over 400 pounds, and I've actually seen quite a few people who lost 100 pounds in 4 months on this board. When you weigh that much, it goes fast at first.

Yes that does seem excessive, even for someone that size but obviously they're doing something right. I just hope I can see big results in the first few months. I'm about a 1 1/2 weeks post op and things are moving relatively slow even though my calorie intake is minimal and I excercise nearly every day a week for more than an hour. I'm thinking that one day soon, I'm going to wake up, jump on the scale and see a huge difference. I just hope it happens soon because I'm certainly working hard enough.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
