This is my first post so bear with me..lol. I have my pre-op physical tomorrow with surgery scheduled on 5-1 and I have to say I'm nervous as h*ll. I know that I need this but I keep reading the horror stories on the net and it's got me almost to an emotional wreck. Being a man I feel like this should be no big deal and I should just man up and do it. It's not that easy. I'm not sure if most of you on the board are women or not but if there are any guys out there with any advice I would sure appreciate it. Advice from anyone is also appreciated. The way I'm thinking now is that I could change my mind at any minute and just cancel the whole thing.

Mavy...don't cancel it is natural to be nerveous! There are many guys on here too!

As for the horror stories...I read some too and decided enough is enough!!! There is risk in driving down the street..we have to trust that this will all work out and we will be healthier and happier in the end! Hang in there.....we are going to be just great! Remember...a positive attitude is key to a great recovery!!!

Keep reading good posts!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
