I regards to the aritifical sweetners that could trigger the migranes, where does the new sweetner Truvia fall? It claims to be natural...

I have had migranes over my life, but usually 2-4 a year. I was banded 2 wks ago today and I had one during my 2 wk pre op diet period and have gotten aother one today. I am just trying to figure out if there is something that my body might be lacking? Any ideas?

I have had migranes over the years, but never very bad. Usually 3-5 a year. I was banded on April 29th, 2010, and have had 3 since then and #4 today. I am wondering what I am not getting enough of... , I wonder what I may have depleated from my system? I don't want to have to take medication on a regular basis. Any suggstions or ideas?

wow...this is so funny...not ha ha but I used to suffer from Migraines a lot and very often. usually 1-2 a month. I haven't had one in a year or so and I had one yesterday....I still have some of the residual pain today....I don't know what triggered it, probably hormones and/or stress....I am hoping this does not become more frequent again....

I have taken Imatrex in the past and it worked so if this becomes a problem, I will ask my medical doctor for a prescription for something....

Hope you are all well,

Meg

I get Migraines very regularly, usually a few times a week. I've been prescribed imitrax as well. It burns my stomach, so I cannot take the imitrex for every Migraine that I get. I have been taking tylenol with codeine and that has seemed to lessen it, but not completely resolve the migraine.

My nutrionist says having skim/soy milk if you get a Migraine or headache should help. I'm a bad migraine sufferer but so far so good.

Hope that helps!!!

mine got worse and are now slowly getting better. if yours have ever been hormone based, losing weight throws off your estrogen as you lose the fat. i hope yours get better soon.

i take relpax when necessary. as soon as i have an inkling of a headache.

Truvia is stevia, I believe. Stevia is a plant. I have some growing in my yard. It isn't a manipulated chemical. It is also good for sugar levels. My diabetic husband has been using it for years.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
