neck swelling, salivary glands

Recommended Posts

anyone having this symptom, doc didnt know what is was. It seems to be related to dehydration or pb'ing. It just happens sometimes, no apparent reason. Swells mostly under right ear but i can feel the tightness on both sides of my neck. Feels like gland problems. Please... anyone having this symptom????? What did you do ??

Sounds like an infection to me... maybe not Band related.

I would talk to your primary care provider and see what s/he thinks. It may be beneficial to do a z-pack or something similar.

I sure hope this isn't lapband related because I just got over a surgery for this one and am just starting to check into the lapband surgery.

I started having swelling under my ears and looked like I had the mumps after eating or while eating. Come to find out a couple of years later I had a mass in my parotid gland and I also have sjogrens disease an immune disease of the glands. Anyway try drinking more Water see if it subsides if it doesn't you need to get to an ENT. Thank God it was benign but it needs to be checked out.

A couple weeks ago, one of the ladies I work with who is about 47 and slim, so obviously this had nothing to do with being overweight or being banded, had the sides of her neck start to swell. It just wouldn't stop and kept swelling and swelling until it looked like she had big balls in her neck! She had to leave and went to the ER. When she got there the doctor took one look at her and told her to suck on a lemon, making sure to get a lot of the juice and sour feeling towards the back of your mouth, near the molars. It went away almost immediately. It turns out her saliva ducts got clogged or something. Sounds like maybe what you had? Hope the lemon juice works!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
