Can't believe this day has finally arrived! In less than two weeks, I'm going to have a tummy tuck, breast lift with augmentation and lipo. I think I was 20 shades of red today when I had to get my before pictures. :wub:Then the nurse called to say that my front shot didn't turn out well and to please come back in the next few days and do a retake! :scared2:Oh, bother! I have such mixed feelings. I still expect the PS to call and tell me that maybe I should lose a few more pounds first. I can't believe how much shame I still have in my body. I wonder when you get over this?! I think I had to sign about 30 different places for consent and possible complications. Reading everything that could happen is enough to make you want to run right out of the office!:tongue: I remember that I felt the same way before my lapband surgery, so, I'm hoping that it's just pre-surgery jitters! Trying to picture what I'll look like afterwards is really hard. I keep grabbing my stomach and trying to picture it smooth and lumpless! Okay, that's hard to do! I couldn't decide if I should have the breast augmentation and at first the nurse tried to talk me out of it, saying that I would just be smaller and perky. I was ready to accept her opinion, but then she said, after closer inspection that she thought I should get the augmentation. It's hard to know when you don't get to talk to your surgeon about it. I've seen him twice, but the augmentation is more of a last minute thing. I just hope I made the right decision. It's all very nerve wracking. I'm trying to put a positive spin on all this, because I really have a bad case of the nerves! I want to share my journey with anyone who wants to come along. Well I survived! I think I was euphoric when I started coming out of the surgery. The recovery nurses thought I was entertaining. They said most of their patients aren't as happy as I was coming out of anesthesia. The nursers were great. Not sure how I look, except that I am definetly in the flatlands. I have a new low profile port and the band doc decided to take some of my fill out. I think because it was her first low profile port and she wants to give me an adjustment so she can see how it works. I am in a lot of pain and trying to stay on top of it. It's not so much the stomach as it is my lipo and my hip and shoulder. Feels like they pulled muscles when they were getting the compression garments on. I'm not sure about the size of my breasts, they have padding in between them and the bra, but my breast are a lot higher! The PS said he took 3 pounds of fat with the lipo. One exciting thing was that the PS said there was very little fat on my stomach, it was mostly skin. They removed 4.5 pounds of skin. He took a picture and I might post it, don't have it yet. Well I hope this makes sense. I'm falling asleep as I type, so I better quit. Thanks for all the well wishes!

I have not had my surgery yet so needless to say this thread has me very excited in hopes of what I may have to look forward to. I admire you all for being so willing to share.

Texas T: I do love to quilt! I'm a freak for fabric!! My daughter is getting married in May and I'm making her a jean quilt. Every other square will be embrodiered with sayings about love. I've got the squares cut and thought it would be a good project to do the embrodiery while I recupperate. So far, I feel way to crappy, but I'm expecting that will change soon.

Think I will have to go in to the doc today, I'm having a lot of bleeding around my drains, not sure where it's coming from because of the compression garment. My garment is soaked. Did anyone else out there have this problem? Anyway, the pain is more tolerable today, so I guess I'm on the mendl

I am sorry that you are in so much pain, it seems to be worse with the MR than without, I hope that it eases off soon.

I dont know about the bleeding from the drains, I had a terrible amount of watery blood that leaked from one of my lipo spots on my back, they laid me on a big pad thing and had to change it every 1/2 hour to start with, but after a day it stopped.Dya think it could be something similar, rather than thick blood? I knwo what I mean!!LOL
