Hi Deb! Congratulations on the surgery. At 4 weeks out, the worst is behind you! This Sunday will be my 1-year "bandiversary". I consider it to be the one of the best things I've ever done. I was lucky and had no complications. The best part: I have lost 117 pounds. I'm even able to run 3 miles every other day! That's something I never dreamed I'd do. I can't say that I LOVE to do it, but I do it JUST BECAUSE I CAN!!!!! I also had Dr. Kemmerling. Don't you love Mary E.?! She's the best. Good luck to you! Please keep us updated on your progress. Hey, Sorry I didn't notice your reply til now. I haven't been around much lately. Yep, I'm still losing. Sometimes I'm not quite sure how! I was hoping to be at my goal by my 1 year banding anniversary, but I'm afraid I probably won't make it. Especially since we are leaving tomorrow for a week at Disney World! I will be thinking of all my cold-weather frineds while I'm in Florida... Take care! Robin

Thank you so much! It really does feel good to see a "1" at the start of my weight. I honestly don't have a secret. I wish I did! I started the Couch to 5K program a few weeks ago, so I think that has probably helped. Thanks again for your support. It means the world to me! Robin

Well, Lizalee, I gotta' tell you that my opinion of Brett Favre has changed A LOT. I'm now glad he's gone and hopefully the media circus will end. Don't get me wrong - I was a big Favre fan, but I really think he acted like a princess through this whole thing. Most of you probably know that after his tearful retirement speech, a few weeks later he told the Packers he changed his mind and wanted to play. Awesome news. Right before the Packers were going to announce his return, he changed his mind AGAIN and "retired" AGAIN. After all that he seemed surprised and even angry that the Packers organization was not begging him on bended knee to come back! They had moved on, rightfully so, with Aaron Rodgers. And who could blame them? Brett Favre does not make the team's executive decisions. They have people to do that!! Anyway, I think the Packers are going to be just fine without him. Rodgers looked pretty good in the pre-season game last night. I wish Brett success as a Jet, but I have a funny feeling about how well he will do there... Robin

Hi, Have you begun any new medications in the time since your surgery? I was on an anti-depressant (Lexapro) that completely killed my sex drive.

Also - my sister had a B.R. just over a year ago and said it's the best thing she's ever done and wishes she hadn't waited so long!

Maryrose, Good luck to you! I have wanted a B.R. forever. I called the PS I want and he will not even see me 'til I'm done losing and my weight is stable for 6 months. I will be thinking about you and wishing you Happy New Boobies!! Robin
