Had my LAP BAND done on 11-26-2007 in Buffalo, NY at Buffalo General Hospital by Dr. Aaron Hoffman. I've have had no problems what-so-ever and the support from Dr. Hoffman has been FANTASTIC. He is the BEST doctor ever! I would recommend anybody from the Buffalo, Rochester, NY area to have Dr. Hoffman perform the BAND! GREAT DOC!:eek:

congrats bugs, glad to see you got your surgery..the hunger will subside, eat as much as your pouch will handle at one time and eat as frequently as you feel you can handle. good luck bugs you will do great.............vicki

I'm the one with the Elton John Billy Joel tickets. I think I would have been ok . But I'm glad they postponed it so I can heal a little longer.

hi all! well i have been so tight for about the last 10 days. i can barely eat....i really dont know why...i havent gotten a fill and i only eat a few bites and i am stuffed and i gurgle whenever i eat...so i called today and im going in tomorrow at 130pm...anyone else going to be there?

Val, you were doing so good, what happened ? Does it sometimes happen that you get a fill..you are doing fine for weeks and then all of a sudden your too tight ??

i dont know what happened..i was doing great...my last appt i even told them i didnt think i needed a fill so i didnt get one and all of a sudden i am very tight. im not vomiting but i could...im making myself not vomit...so i dont want it to go so long like i did when i got a fill

Val, maybe they ought to give you one of those swallow tests.. Usually you feel that way (so tight) right after a fill.. after your loosing all that weight, I'd hate to get unfilled and start over..let us know what happens at the appointment today.

I saw Dr Hoff today and he said I'm doing well and now I'm on pureed food for a week.

Bugs, what time were u there today, my appt got moved up, and i was there at 11:30.............I got .2cc fill, I'll see how that does cause right now i'm just too loose. I gained a pound and it would have been more if it weren't for sheer willpower.

val, how did you make out today, I told dr. H. to say hello for me since i wouldn't be there like I thought at 1:00.. I got unfilled several weeks ago, and I gained 20 lbs, so i hope they didn't deflate u..keep us posted..........vicki

dr hoffman did tell me u said hi. they think because i had the flu a couple weeks ago that im swollen so he took 0.5 cc out and im better...at least i can eat without getting reflux...i go back in 6 weeks

Hi everyone, it is nice to see all the banter back and forth, how well some are doing and the encouragement I read. Bugs, welcome! I dont' get notices on posts anymore and it has been a while since I checked. Glad you went through with the surgery!

I am scared. I gained 5 pounds in the last few days from binging on easy foods (ice cream and cheesecake) so I called for a fill. I am scared if I don't get one I will continue to slide but I am scared if I do get one it will be too tight!

I can't believe it has been 9 months since the surgery and I still eat too fast! The only thing I am really good at is not drinking but then I don't get enough fluids. Barb says I even drink too fast! My appointment is on Thursday at 1:30.
