  1. Bring a notebook and a pen. I would ask what to except after surgery and what kind of diet tom they recommend for before and after the surgery. Good luck I was banded July 20 2009

  3. I'm supposed to have Lap Band surgery Mon July 20th but now, I'm not so sure I can go through with it. I have a lot of things going I'm trying to buy a new home and I'm stressed about it taking so long. Maybe this isn't right time for me. I need encouragement.

  9. I have a permanent back injury it pervents me doing alot of things. I can't bend or stand on my own every long just recently my back has gotten worse. So I hope my PCP can explain that on the form.

  11. BlueRose, I understand how you feel. I have sereve back problems too I can't walk very far or stand very long. I hope this surgery helps us both lessen our pain.

  13. I have a permanet back injury that prevents me from walking far and bending and so on. To excerise I bought a video on Amazon called sit and be fit it's all sitting excerises. There is a program on PBS called Sit and be fit but the lady doing the excerises does do some hanging on to the back of a chair. I this helps
  14. The cookbook idea is great . I would like one too . I haven't banded yet but I would like to have one for after i am.
  15. I contacted Univera and person told me that it is covered if medically needed. The person is sending me the policy on it. I would suggest contacting Univera and asking about coverage of the procedure. Let me know what you find out.
  16. It's a state program that helps people who can't afford or don't have insurance get coverage.
  17. I have univera coverage also . I have healthy NY what do you have ? I'm going to call them and ask. I'll let you know what I find out.

  21. Yeah I have read somethings and I feel this better for me than gastric bypass. I will do my best to let my feelings known about the lap band.
  22. Because she might not think I'm over weight enough or I haven't tired hard enought to lose weight. But I'm going to tell her that I feel it's the right thing for me to do . That I also want to get a refferal to a surgeon.
  23. Im going to talk to my doctor about the lap band. Are there any questions I should ask the doctor and the surgeon?
  24. My worry is my doctor won't me let me do the lapband. I fell like it's my only option .
