Hi everyone,

I'm so glad I found this forum. I'm getting banded this Friday(2/15).:D

I've struggled with my weight since childhood and it took me a while before I made my decision to have surgery. I'm at the highest weight I've ever been and after trying everything I knew this was right for me. And I have a 2 year old to run after.

I see some other people here have gotten banded by Dr. Eric Pinnar. He's doing my surgery too. He's a cool Dr. very comfortable to be around. I'm glad he's gotten good feedback:thumbup:.

Anyway.....I'm excited and nervous but ready.

Take care everyone:biggrin:

Good luck to you. You will love your band and the change in your life. I see you are 25...you have a long life ahead of you and getting this done at this point in your life is wonderful for you. Best of luck to you.

Hi, Jess... Congratulations! You're going to be so happy! I too am going to be banded by Dr. Eric Pinnar on March 12th. As you are aware, he is extremely experienced in this procedure and an incredible surgeon and most of all he is truly a genuinely nice person. He does make you feel very comfortable and you know you can ask him anything about the process. His office is so helpful and friendly and I love that he has 3 patients who work for him and you can ask them anything about their experience. I'm so excited for you and look forward to following up with you. We are on our way, sister!

Hey,

Thank you all so much. You're right about Dr. Pinnar. Everyone is so nice and that's good for me because I tend to ask the "dumb "questions and they never made me feel uncomfortable.

Yes we are on our way. Please send me some good vibes:thumbup:

I'm still a little nervous:eek:.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
