The TRUTH about your DL...

Recommended Posts

Wow Kelly! I'll bet you DO get the double takes! What a difference! BTW, you look better in your recent pic...IMHO

(Can you tell I'm figuring out the lingo...LMAO! Hahaha)

editing: Oh, the thread...no weights in NC, but if I had to, I'd go at least 50lbs under and say 170, without a doubt.

Tennessee they don't ask for weight. I guess they figure why bother, who tells the truth anyway. I had mine renewed recently, not because of weightloss, but, because I am 10 years older than the picture (It was a great picture, I didn't want to give it up,) but, there was a huge difference in looks from 25-35 lol. I was in denial l guess. Just like I was about my weight before surgery.

Mine say 175.00 I lied when I put that down it was more like 220.00 but they did not know that. But I do get the double take when I do pull it out at the Dept stores. I look so different than my most wanted photo. But alas I go get a new one this year and hope fully I will be less than 175.00 and very proud to put my new weight.

Hi,

No weight listed here in TX, but I have an obvious problem with the pic looking like me present day! I went to pay a ticket at the drivers bureau. they looked at it several times and the lady asked if that was really me. I told her that I had lost some weight. She wanted to know how I did it. Led to a discussion about the lapband. She showed my license to everyone in the office. I still havent changed it though!

Babs in TX

334/180

-154

New goal: 170

I lied about my weight by about 30 pounds, and my DL says 280!!! :) (I had to look, as I couldn't remember).

This morning I was 234, so I'm nearly 50 pounds less now. But if I wait a couple more months, I may not need to change it... **sob**

 :( :( :(

My DL pic was taken when I was still fairly thin. I think the weight on it is 145 and it wasn't a lie at the time. My passport pic was taken when I got fat. Hmmm....maybe I should start carrying both.

Okay-My DL says 135-and the guy behind the counter asked me the "Do you want to update anything?" question too....and I said (firmly) "NO!"

At the time I was like 265. Soooo that is a difference of 130 LBS!!!!!

Like DeLarla I too like the way 135 sounds....it has a nice ring to it.

My left leg probably weighs 135 lbs!!!

These are all too funny! Mine's not posted on my DL, but they asked me for a # several years ago. They put it somewhere.

well when I got my drivers license I was older - didn't drive until I was 27. When I put my weight down of course I LIED!!! I actually weighed 285 but put down 250 and so that has stayed this whole while. When I had surgery I was 308 so I weighed 58 lbs more when I had the surgery. Currently I am 40 lbs under that weight and I look totally different now BUT I get my license renewed for my birthday in August so it will be nice to see what my actual weight will be then!! :banana

oh! I nearly forgot! When I was a Navy Wife, my height was listed at 165 inches...
ROFLMAO! At that height, we'd all be beautifully proportioned before banding. Hard to find pants with a 78-inch inseam, though.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
