Tae Kwon Do

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was thinking about joining my husband who takes Tae Kwon Do classes. :rambo :boxing:I've been using the ellipticals and the treadmills at the gym everyday at work (5 days/week), but I thought it would be nice to get in some extra workout in the evenings or on the weekends. Just curious if any bandsters are taking Tae Kwon Do classes and if it has helped out with toning and such. I haven't used any free weights yet, so I was wondering if this would help in that way.

Any advice is great! Thanks!

Tae Kwon Do will help immensely with toning, flexibility, and mental focus. Due to my wee-ones (three ages 5 and under) I no longer have the time for TKD, but when was able to attend regularly, it was definitely a wonderful way to get a good workout.

I would like to go back to Tae Kwon Do also. I am worried about getting kicked in the stomach (port/band area). Is there anyone out there who has taken TKD while they had the lap band in place? My doctor says it should be fine, but I worry. I am about 90 days post banding now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
