Some say it is a sign of being too tight. I am a litte on the too tight side as well and get it sometime. I take Zantac 150mg when it comes. Try taking Zantac 30mins before your night meal.

How can you take a Zantac those are big pills? ?? Do you chew it???

I spoke to the pharmacist and she advise me not to chew them, so the only thing is taking Tums.....

My doc says reflux at night, especially after you've been banded for awhile, means you are either too tight or eating too soon before bed.

I used to have GERD before surgery...post-band never got heartburn again, until I ended up too tight. Then I'd wake up choking to death just like the old days. Got some Fluid removed and voila! no more reflux!

I buy the generic Zantac and it is about the size of a baby aspirin. I have no problem with them. I can't compare it to the size of namebrand Zantac since I have never bought those. I am tight, but I don't have any problems getting pills down.

This has happened to me 5 or 6 times over the last 4 years - and I am not banded.

Rotisserie chicken has been the cause of it twice.

Did anyone have this trouble BEFORE surgery?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
